Morinqua is speedy but has yet to prove herself at this trip and we prefer Cartimandua and Crystany with Ed McMahon's filly getting the vote. The daughter of Medicean was asked to contest the Fred Darling and the Guineas on her first two starts last year before easily winning her maiden in May. She then produced an impressive performance to win a Listed race at Haydock over this trip. Her subsequent absence is a slight concern but her yard is going well and she looked to have a touch of class that day. Morinqua has something to find at the weights as well as having to prove her effectiveness at this trip whilst Ripples Maid would probably prefer a bit more cut in the ground. The ex-South African runner Mocha Java is well worth a second look but it's easier to assess the chances of Crystany and Dubai Princess who both proved themselves to be classy fillies last term. Crystany is preferred following a really good reappearance run in a highly competitive sprint handicap at Newmarket. She has plenty to find at the weights though and Cartimandua is preferred.
