Existential won a course and distance maiden by 10 lengths in August but didn't replicate that sort of form in subsequent starts. Knighted also won over the track and trip in May and completed a hat-trick in the summer. He found Class 2 company a bit hot on his final start so this should be more to his liking. Ptarmigan Ridge won twice for James Fanshawe last term and has changed yards but did best on ground with some give. Bowerman hasn't run since completing a double in December 2017 but his yard is flying and he has to be respected along with New Graduate, a winner at Thirsk in May and making his handicap debut under Ryan Moore. DAWAALEEB won three times last year ending up with a short-head defeat attempting to concede 15lb to the winner in a Class 2 handicap at Redcar. He reappeared with a very good run at Doncaster and can go in again.
