Verdict

BENZANNO ended last season with a smooth victory in this grade at Haydock and began the new campaign by getting the better of Swing Alone on the Polytrack off a 9lb higher mark. Clearly going the right way, Andrew Balding's charge can complete the hat-trick as Thomas Brown is good value for his 5lb claim. Extraterrestrial is starting to look very well handicapped while Stuart Kittow's pair Weapon Of Choice and Uppercut are worth a second look and Kieran Fallon partners the latter. President Lincoln was second at Leicester on Friday and Gloriam filled the same spot at Redcar at the start of the month while Muffin McLeay ran in the Lincoln, though was well beaten as he was when behind the selection in the autumn.
