Verdict

Masta Plasta won this a year ago for which he is penalised 3lb. He's been in poor form since returning from Dubai and faces a very stiff task. Star Rover also carries a penalty but he's been in much better form and thoroughly deserved his success at Ffos Las a week ago. Fitz Flyer was well beaten in the Steward's Cup but had run well previously in a Listed contest at York. He had Five Star Junior a length behind when successful at Redcar in June and should confirm the form while the filly Poppy Seed is no forlorn hope here with her allowances as she was a comfortable winner of a Goodwood handicap in June. In 23 career starts, TIDDLIWINKS has only raced once at the minimum trip when unplaced in a Cork Listed event in June. His overall form, however, is the strongest in this line-up and earlier placed efforts in Group company at York and the Curragh suggest he won't be done for pace here.
