In depth

Verdict

Loose Caboose, Joss Stick and Lieutenant Pigeon make most appeal in this nursery handicap and we will side with Loose Caboose who can land the prize. The selection won well last time when she beat A Wish For You over 5f at Wolverhampton. That was her first try over this trip and it clearly suits and she looks up to defying a penalty. Joss Stick ran well last time when third behind Too Grand at Kempton and if he can reproduce that effort he will go close. However, he is not an easy ride and he doesn't look the type to be placing maximum faith in. Lieutenant Pigeon should be suited by this drop in trip and he has been contesting better races than this. However, he has been well beaten on his last few starts and he will need to up his game to win this. Gain Share can be excused a disappointing effort last time as both the trip and ground may have been unsuitable. He could be capable of better here, but we like the look of Loose Caboose who gets the vote.
