Very little separates the form principles here, none of whom rate rock-solid propositions, so preference for SIGNIFICANT MOVE must be described as marginal. Roger Charlton's charge is the highest rated of these with a BHA figure of 79 and arrives on the back of a decent second at Newmarket behind a well-touted rival. That horse has since been beaten at odds-on but there were extenuating circumstances and we'd prefer to focus on the fact Significant Move showed he copes with soft ground that day. Weathervane has a rather in-and-out profile but represents a thriving yard and unlike our pick has shown he stays the trip as has Short Break, although she needs to improve on balance. Alfonso The Wise looks more of a threat if he responds to the cheekpieces as he looks a horse who has talent but perhaps lacks resolution while Ahaazeeg can't be ignored.
