        Verdict

        ARTBEAT may still be a maiden at the age of four but has plenty of time on her side as a handicap sprinter after just seven starts, the best of which arrived on seasonal reappearance when just inched out in a typical large-field Thirsk sprint handicap when seemingly unfancied. She's been raised 4lb for that run of promise but still looks on a perfectly fair mark for Julia Fielden to work with and will go close if repeating that level. Goadby didn't appear to get the run of the race on her return to action at Doncaster but still ran a fair race and this course and distance winner is expected to play a prominent role despite the concession of weight all round. Minty Jones and Wattaboutsteve are also considered in a trappy getting-out stakes.
