Verdict

Newmarket maidens at the Craven meeting invariably throw up useful sorts who progress well through their three-year-old campaigns and John Gosden's Dansili colt, MUNTAHAA, appeals as one such type. Hitherto the form of this year's Wood Ditton has not been boosted by subsequent runs but this colt showed plenty of dash before inexperience and greenness told. In the circumstances he did well to make the front three and it will be disappointing if he cannot improve significantly on that effort. Point of View also contested a maiden at Newmarket's opening meeting and looked one to follow after a solid debut effort. He rates the main danger with improvement assured, with Poet's Word and Great Return also of note in an interesting contest.
