RHUBARB beat Enchanted Night a length over course and distance two runs ago and was third here in a lady amateurs’ race two weeks later but is still at the right end of the handicap. Albegone has won three times since the middle of August and Tim Easterby also runs course and distance winner Showalong but Big Bard may find things happening too quickly for him over this trip. Apache Star has gone close twice here this year, however, and Cuban Grey is not short of pace. Sera Dawn has slipped down the weights again but was behind Herakles at Leicester in September.
