The Wexfordian keeps threatening to land an ordinary handicap such as this but may yet again find one or two too good unless Martin Hill can eke out something extra on his second start for the yard. Braqueur D'or produced a solid effort on his first run for Paul Nicholls and is now interestingly upped dramatically in trip. He remains open to plenty of improvement and should be in the mix but DAY OF ROSES receives plenty of weight from the Nicholls contender and arrives on the back of a facile success at Fontwell over the weekend. A winner between the flags, he retains scope for further progression, stays well and looks on a very favourable mark for Jeremy Scott to exploit.
