In what could turn out to be a match, Mirant is just preferred to Wait For The Will, with Night Driver looking booked for third place. The selection, again trained by Martin Pipe and ridden by Tony McCoy, has recorded two very easy wins this season, at Bangor and Fontwell, and although this is going to be a stiffer task, he is fancied to make all and land the hat trick. Wait For The Will is very lightly raced over hurdles, but was second to a good horse at Folkestone on his only start last year, and this useful flat performer will be no pushover. Gary Moore's gelding was fifth at Goodwood last week, so will clearly lack nothing in terms of fitness. Night Driver was very disappointing on his latest start at Worcester, and may prefer softer ground, but he had shown enough in two previous runs to suggest that he can at least claim minor honours here, as the remaining runners have little to offer so far.
