This is a more competitive race than most on the card, but Martin Pipe's Canadiane is just fancied to get the better of Suspendid, Mr Woodland and The Land Agent. The selection is a consistent sort, both over hurdles and fences, will love this fast ground and is taken to reverse recent Bangor form with Flash Gordon, who was ahead of her that day but reopposes on nine pounds worse terms here. She is just preferred to Suspendid, who recorded back to back wins in April but was down the field in the aforementioned Bangor race. However, Richard Lee's gelding is another who is likely to fair better on this faster surface and the booking of Richard Johnson also catches the eye. Of the remainder, not too many can be ruled out, and Mr Woodland is a course specialist who would come into the reckoning if fit after his lengthy absence, while The Land agent was third in this race last year and can again be thereabouts.
