In depth

Verdict

Jarlath is fit from the Flat but Lord Bryan, who won at Market Rasen in June, was only fourth in this last year and is 2lb higher. Diligent went up 32lb in completing a five-timer and has gone up another 2lb since beaten at Fakenham. Lord Schnapps has claims but Rizzardo prefers small fields so we’ll take a chance on NIKAP, who was placing off higher marks last season and might be freshened up by the application of cheekpieces. Galileo Silver has more scope than most and beat Jarlath in a jumpers’ bumper at the start of the year but may need this.
