    In depth

    Verdict

Oldrik was well held when second behind the admittedly well-handicapped Nesnaas at Wincanton last month and the Philip Hobbs-trained gelding has to be respected off a 1lb lower mark today but he is far from certain to reproduce the form on ground this testing and, like fast ground performer Musical Gift, may be best watched so preference is for Ede's. The selection has shown improved form when racing on testing ground of late, winning four races on the bounce, until disappointing back on good ground at Taunton last time. With the ground as testing as it is here, Ede's looks well worth support. Inn For The Dancer has form with some cut in the ground and has to be considered, while Jose Bove has yet to prove that he handles it. Ede's should have no problems with the underfoot conditions though and he is the selection.
