In depth
Verdict
No Sam No can make the most of his light weight at the expense of Tim's The Man and Helixir du Theil. No Sam No has been given a rest since opening her account at the 17th time of asking at Perth in July, and off her light weight can pay to follow again over this longer trip. She is by no means considered a good thing though and it is worth considering the chances of one or two of the others. Tim's The Man who was quite useful in bumper company in Ireland, opened his account over hurdles at Leicester last season but has had a break to prepare for a fencing campaign. Softer ground would be beneficial to him, while Helixir du Theil, disappointing over timber, is expected to make his mark over fences and has the right trainer to teach him. Richard Johnson partners Big Max so he will get every assistance in the plate, but for the winner we return to No Sam No to small stakes.
