Tom Buckley takes a useful 3lb off the back of Gaulois, a narrow winner here in May and a respectable third on his subsequent start. He also had fair form on his two Irish starts and is a leading player. However, NIBRAS GOLD (NAP), a dual winner on the Flat for Ismail Mohammed, has taken nicely to his new discipline, backing up a pleasing runner-up debut with a comfortable Worcester success on good ground. This extra two and a half furlongs should not inconvenience and he can follow up at a track to suit. Kanukankan showed a little more last time but needs to progress again, whilst Mankhool has a chance on Irish form for Denis Hogan but was beaten over 80 lengths on his first start for new connections. Heronord returns to timber after some respectable efforts in ordinary handicap chases.
