In depth

Verdict

Lord Strickland is a versatile performer and is a tentative selection in a very trappy contest. He goes well at this course and has the assistance of a useful claimer in the saddle today. Oulton Broad should also go close but is no certainty to follow up his victory at Perth earlier in the month on only his second start for his new stable. Bekstar will be hard pushed to confirm the form with Sam Rockett from |Monday's meeting, and the latter could well prove to be the surprise package of the race now that he has got a run under his belt this season.
