In what looks to be a two horse race, Caoba has the beating of Aimigayle at these weights and gets the nod in the opener. The selection was beaten nine lengths when the pair last met over a bit further on this track a month ago, but the Philip Hobbs-trained filly has a 15lb pull now. The yard's runners are going very well and conditions suit, so she can reverse placings with Aimigayle. The latter has come out and won again since, at Huntingdon, so is clearly full of confidence. Conditions suit and she will certainly be no easybeat but she has a tough task strictly on the book. Party Palace has shown enough on the level to suggest that she can win a race over the sticks, but after being well beaten last time it looks unlikely to be this particular contest. The same can be said of Trinity Rose, who won a stayer's handicap on the fibresand when with Mark Johnston and can improve for her recent hurdles debut. She could prove a real threat, but Caoba is the one for us.
