The selection is Dantie Boy, who has won or been placed in nine of the 14 races in which he has completed. He fell over fences last time when looking set to score (Fear Siuil is held on that run) and, if repeating his good Stratford second the time before, must go well. Course and distance winner Hidden Valley is now eleven but has retained his form well, although that c/d win came three years ago and he seems to prefer easier going if given the choice these days. Canadiane has been beaten from revised marks since her Haydock win but is now back to just one pound higher than for that victory so can bag some prize money. Sacrifice has won a couple of hunter chases but has been unable to repeat those runs under Rules. Noble Comic has won five times here and is now four pounds lower than for the last of his success, which came at Wincanton. He has to be on the shortlist, particularly now that he is running in first-time cheekpieces.
