In depth

Verdict

Glajou was a disappointing favourite at Taunton in March and will have to reverse that form with God Knows Why. Striking A Pose has a first run under Rules for Colin Tizzard having won a maiden point in February. A Distant Place has also won between the flags while Colonel Manderson was improving with experience last season. CHESS PLAYER finished second in an Ayr bumper in April of last year that’s produced plenty of winners and Ben Pauling’s gelding can start making up for lost time here.
