MAGIC MONEY (NAP) looks the one to be on here. Warren Greatrex's eight-year-old might appreciate this slightly shorter trip after finishing second over 3m at Uttoxeter in July. At First Light was only fourth off this mark at Fontwell last week and was pulled up when Popping Along won at Aintree in May. But Jeremy Scott's mare was tailed off on her only subsequent run while Premier Rose has yet to make the frame under Rules. Midnight Sapphire makes more appeal as she won over course and distance in June and is only 2lb higher.
At First Light 4-1 (11-1) Whipped round as tapes rose, soon recovered tracking leaders and took keen hold, hit 3 out, ridden and no impression in 4th between last two, weakened run-in, 4th of 6, 11l behind Young Dillon (11-12) at Fontwell 3m 2f hcp (3) gd in Sep.
Magic Money 9-1 (11-12) Chased leaders, challenged 3 out, led next, headed flat, held close home, 2nd of 19, 1 1/2l behind Ereyna (11-5) at Uttoxeter 2m 7f hcp (4) gd in Jul.
Popping Along 2-1fav (11-7) Held up in rear, outpaced before 3 out, soon weakened, last of 6, dist behind Perfect Summer (10-9) at Aintree 2m 4f hcp (4) gs in Jun.
Midnight Sapphire 20-1 (11-3) Held up towards rear, headway on inside when hampered after 3 out, 4th and one pace 2 out, 5th of 10, 10l behind Winter Walk (11-4) at Newton Abbot 3m 2f hcp (4) gd in Sep.
