    Verdict

    A cracking contest, despite the small field. Vintage Vinnie has got his confidence back and won a Listed handicap at Market Rasen last month, despite a couple of mistakes. His yard won this last year but giving 12lb to some potentially useful novices may prove beyond him. Virgilio won in a canter at Warwick in May and looks one to follow while San Benedeto has already won at Worcester and Sedgefield and should handle this step up in grade. BROTHER TEDD beat Silviniaco Conti on his reappearance over hurdles last season. He tackles the larger obstacles for the first time today but has always looked a chaser in the making and is sure to have been well schooled.
