Acapulco Bay is the form pick and is taken to win this at the expense of Master Wells and Lady Garlandhayes. The selection has run well since joining the Dai Burchell yard. He ran well when second to Earlsfield Raider at Worcester over hurdles before winning on the level at Bath last week over a mile and a quarter proving he has speed. He now returns to hurdles here and will have fitness on his side so if recapturing his form he has to go well. Master Wells was in the process of running well when coming to grief at Exeter back in March. Connections have taken things easy with him since and he should arrive to the track fresh so is one to note in the market. Lady Garlandhayes has had no success in the point to point field this spring. She did run in three bumpers also without success but she is trained by David Pipe so there would be no surprise if she could improve from what she has achieved so far. But for the winner we return to Acapulco Bay.
