Multiple winners Kamanda Laugh and The Prince can fight out the finish again here with the former expected to have the legs of his aging rival on what is sure to be energy sapping ground. That is not to say it will be a two horse race as several have chances on the best of their form. Including Go Padre, who is a lightly raced sort that can be considered as a live alternative if money arrives to support his claims. Mark Johnston's charge should cope with the step up in trip and, as he has a rounded action, it is safe to assume the going will be to his liking. That is not something that applies to Impeller, who is a game sort but has done all his winning on much faster ground. Zero Tolerance and Finished Article were very hard to split when they had their own battle in the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot. However, the latter is 8lb better off today and should confirm his marginal superiority. Nevertheless, like a few of the others, he is hard to win with and others make more appeal. Which brings us back to Kamanda Laugh, whose season has been a very profitable one already. The Barry Hills-trained gelding is yet to finish out of the first two this term and, as he has only raced six times to date, it is safe to say that he still has plenty of scope for races of this nature. Off a mark of 87, Hills surely has some of next season's big handicaps at the back of his mind as targets for this son of Most Welcome, who is fancied to make his case stronger if he emerges from this with his fourth career win today.
