Crimson Sun is given the vote here with Kings Quay, Santa Fe and Subpoena the principle dangers. The selection failed to handle the soft ground when well beaten in a Group 2 contest at York last time behind Tony James. However, this colt is dropped in grade here and with this faster surface playing to his strengths he looks the one they have to beat. Kings Quay finished narrowly behind our selection at Newmarket¿s July meeting and has since gone on to beat Wilko over 7 furlongs at Newbury. However, he is worse off at the weights with our selection from their last meeting and he looks to have plenty on here to reverse those placings. Santa Fe won well at Leicester last time when beating Silent Jo, but he is stepped up in class here and he will need to improve again to trouble the principles. Subpoena showed plenty of promise on his debut when he defeated the highly-regarded Paper Talk. He is sure to come on for that experience and could be anything so is worth noting in the market. However, Crimson Sun is taken to regain the winning thread under his optimum conditions.
