A large field goes to post for the first on the card but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Miami Explorer, Assoon, Groesfaen Lad and Sir Brastias and the tentative vote goes to the last named. The selection was slightly disappointing when fourth behind Fortune Point last time out. However this longer trip is sure to suit and with conditions in his favour he looks the value bet. Miami Explorer rates the main danger on her latest second behind Galey River but she has had plenty of chances and it will be disappointing if a less exposed sort does not beat her. Assoon is also worthy of respect as he won well last time when defeating Canatrice but he will find this harder under his penalty.Groesfaen Lad was a fair second behind the progressive Marcel last time and is another that has place claims. Of the remainder New Currency is from a top yard and is unexposed so is worth a cautionary look in the market but for the winner we return to Sir Brastias.
