Verdict
Reem One could provide the answer here , with Grand Finesse suggested as her biggest danger. When the words 'Fillies Handicap' appear in the same sentence, it always provides that extra element of doubt into one's mind when it comes to identifying the winner. Add to that the late time of the year and, well, it's hard to be confident in naming the winner. That said, plus points for Reem One are that she is lightly raced, is improving, acts on easy going and is probably value for better than her last run, when beaten nine lengths into second by Artistic Style. All things considered, we feel that a rating of 75 understates her ability. High hopes were entertained of Crystal earlier in the year - she even ran in the Oaks - but she has proven disappointing, and is now tried in blinkers. Into The Shadows and Batik are stepping up from run-of-the-mill maiden wins so have something to prove against the selection, while much as Kaluana Court is just one pound above a winning mark, her best efforts have come over further. However, she could reach a place. Big Bertha's best effort so far has come on the all-weather, but Grand Finesse put in a fair effort at Goodwood last time from today's mark and a repeat of that gives her claims. Much as Miss Langkawi has failed to build upon her juvenile win this year, she comes here lightly raced and the betting might give a clue as to whether she is fancied on her first run since the spring. Overall, though, we are happy to side with Reem One.
