Orvietan may be up to the task on his debut, with stablemate Highlander, Fire And Rain, Land of Light and Historic Appeal just a few more to note. We know it is said often, but this is one occasion when the market really should be taken note of, especially as Godolphin have two runners, both setting foot on the racecourse for the first time. Orvietan is a Sadler's Wells colt with Kerrin McEvoy on board, while Frankie Dettori gets the leg up on Highlander who is a half-brother to several winners over middle-distances. Fire And Rain is by one-time Ballydoyle superstar Galileo and with Kieren Fallon in the plate is another that should be closely monitored. Historic Appeal hails from a stable that house plenty of juvenile talent, and can be expected to win sooner rather than later, while of those to have raced so far, Mashaahed makes most appeal as he was a little unlucky in running behind Extreme Measures on his Newbury debut. Bets should be kept on the small side but Orvietan is a tentative selection.
