Verdict

Roger Varian's horses are running out of their skins and the form of MANORAH's (NAP) victory over 1m2f at Nottingham could hardly have been better franked when Hayley Turner steered runner-up Thanks Be to victory at Ascot last week. A 4lb rise hardly appears likely to prevent a follow-up and the longer trip shouldn't pose a problem. Vampish won a Class 5 handicap over this trip at Wolverhampton before tackling further. She got no sort of run over 1m6f here last week but was only narrowly beaten and will test the selection's stamina. Irish import Mazzuri did well to finish third in a Goodwood Listed contest before well beaten in an Epsom handicap but takes a drop in class and could prove a threat. Lady of Shalott hasn't been beaten far in two 1m2f handicaps recently and stays this trip while Miss Mumtaz was due to run at Chester last night.
