Verdict
Mujbar started favourite at Newbury but never looked like winning. However, that race has produced a few winners and he’ll know more today. The Kingman colt Megallan bolted up on debut here earlier this month and will make a bold bid to defy his penalty. He makes more appeal than Marlay Park, who was no match for an easy winner when second at Salisbury. The US-bred Diamonds Are King was a $350,000 yearling and Dubai Honour cost $110,000gns while Dejame Paso is also worth a market check but this could be another for a well-bred Godolphin newcomer as VISIONARY RULER is a half-brother to top-class performers in Australia and France and held in high regard.
