Verdict

JAN VAN HOOF completed his hat-trick over the minimum trip here for which he received an 8lb rise. He got no sort of run in the Stewards' Cup Consolation at Goodwood and surprisingly the assessor has dropped him 6lb so he's looking well handicapped. He gets the vote though Stellarta comes here on the back of a couple of cracking runs at Windsor including a victory earlier this month. Three-year-olds have a good record in the race but Flying Fantasy takes a huge drop in trip having raced over a mile here last time and he scored over that trip here in May. The veteran Regal Parade is generally consistent and scored over the track and trip just over a year ago from exactly the same mark while Art Obsession ran well on his first start over the trip at Ripon and David Barron doesn't waste journeys.
