Ares Choix rates the form pick and receives the tentative vote. Aunt Nicola progressed from her debut to win well at Goodwood and she is very closely matched with Golden Rosie on a line through Gal Aloud; both have done enough to suggest that they can figure. Baileys Cacao ran respectably at Royal Ascot on ground that may have been too fast but she also looks closely matched with Maggie Lou on a line through Bahamian Ceilidh. The latter has been off the track since April but that is no great concern and she would appear to be the stable's first string. Barbee and Harriet's Girl look vulnerable in this company whilst Peper Harrow and Select will need to improve on their debut efforts at Lingfield where the former was the better drawn of the pair. Mick Quinlan has a fair record in this race and has some useful juveniles at his disposal; Skruton appears to be one of them but she's yet to race on fast ground and she may need some rain. The selection shaped well on debut and then beat Harriet's Girl by 3 lengths at Redcar before stepping up on those efforts when beaten just over 3 lengths in the Albany Stakes. Her rivals are open to improvement and it remains to be seen what that effort has taken out of her but the form of that race entitles Ares Choix to land the spoils.
