Apparate has been hard to train and hasn’t won in almost three years but is on a lenient mark nowadays and can probably be forgiven a below-par effort last time at Newbury. Red Flyer has finished behind King Eagle and DASHO LENNIE (NAP) in his last two outings. The latter only won by a neck at Ripon earlier this month but the first two pulled well clear and Sean Woods’ three-year-old can defy a further 4lb rise upped in distance. Sea Stone has won over 1m4f and 2m at Kempton but is still a maiden on Turf.
Alright Sunshine (IRE) 40-1 (9-8) Slowly into stride and stumbled start, headway on inside into mid-division after 2f, headway chasing leaders over 2f out, weakened final furlong, 6th of 10, 8 1/4l behind The Very Man (9-6) at Ascot 2m hcp (2) gs in Aug.
Apparate 14-1 (9-5) Held up in last trio, never threatened, 10th of 13, 15 1/4l behind Sweet William (9-2) at Newbury 2m hcp (2) gd in Jul.
East Asia (IRE) 33-1 (9-6) Wore hood to post, raced keenly and always rear-division, tailed off and eased final 2f, last of 10, dist behind The Very Man (9-6) at Ascot 2m hcp (2) gs in Aug.
King Eagle (IRE) 6-4fav (9-12) Held up off the pace in 6th, headway out wide into 4th over 4f out, went 3rd over 2f out, no chance with leading duo, weakened and lost two places inside final furlong, 5th of 7, 18 1/2l behind Blazeon Five (9-13) at Ascot 2m hcp (3) sft in Jul.
Sea Stone (IRE) 15-2 (10-1) In touch in mid-division, switched right and headway over 2f out, led over 1f out, stayed on well inside final furlong, won at Kempton 2m hcp (4) pol in Aug beating Fox Vision (9-0) by 1 3/4l, 7 ran.

Dasho Lennie 2-1 (9-10) Close up in rear, headway 3f out, soon chased leader, ridden to join leader from over 1f out, ran on to lead final strides, won at Ripon 1m 4f hcp (4) sft in Aug beating Baileys Khelstar (8-12) by nk, 5 ran.
