      Verdict

      Lingfield second Natty Night should be thereabouts again but Shauyra was a beaten favourite at Pontefract when hanging in the closing stages and has been raised a pound for her troubles. FOX VARDY was withdrawn from his scheduled reappearance here last week but should take all the beating if on his best behaviour today. The son of Frankel has been gelded and has the scope to go on to better things this year. He races off the sane mark as when runner-up over track and trip last year on similar going. Gas Monkey won four times last year but the handicapper is in charge now.
