Verdict

A typically open nursery and most of them have fair claims now that they are handicapped. However, Winners Delight stands out on previous form and has a solid chance at the weights. He just edges a narrow vote over the Richard Hannon-trained pair, Top Spec and Mickey Thin. Although a move for Wavertree Boy will be interesting. However, Winners Delight drops back to a more realistic target after being outclassed in a novices' stakes at Ascot earlier in the month and should appreciate the ease in grade. He had previously shown progressive form to get the better of Scotch N' Dry in a truly run maiden auction at Lingfield and a similarly determined effort will see him home here.
