Mashhoor has form over further so should be staying on in the closing stages. Fireworks ran well over a mile here in May and easily landed the odds returning from a break at Beverley but Diffident Spirit’s two wins this year have come in lesser company. Rebel Territory certainly wasn’t winning out of turn in a big field at Goodwood but is effectively 9lb higher with Ryan Moore taking over the reins from an apprentice. The well-bred ALHEZABR looked much more the finished article when recouping losses at Chepstow earlier this month and a mark of 83 may be underestimating his ability.
