        Verdict

        The unbeaten pair of Romanticize and Ingleby Lady must be afforded utmost respect but it is DOVE MEWS who is narrowly preferred to Calahonda. Michael Bell's filly has a little to prove following her midfield finish on her reappearance but that looked a strong race and this fillies' race looks easier. She won on the July course on her debut and she has no problem with this ground so we fancy her to run a big race. White Shift is a pound out of the weights but she cannot be overlooked after a recent Bath win on quick ground; she has plenty of experience and is unlikely to be far away off her light weight. Metroland has been holding her form well, but a bigger threat may be one of the debut winners. Ingleby Lady showed plenty of nous to score at Pontefract, whilst Romanticize was a good Salisbury winner. Plenty of guesswork is needed to determine how well-treated they are in handicaps but the market may help there. Daddy's Gift and Calahonda must be considered as well but it is Dove Mews who is preferred.
