Verdict

A competitive classified race here with many in form rivals in opposition including Contractor, Three Graces and Terfel and the confident vote goes to Contractor. The gelding from the Terry Mills yard has been in good form of late without winning but a reproduction of his latest second behind Capulette would make him hard to beat. Three Graces rates the main danger he was a fair fifth behind Gatemen in a listed race last time out with conditions in his favour he has definite place claims. Terfel is also worthy of respect he won well at York when defeating Ocean Sillk but he has since disappointed so for that reason he is opposed on this occasion. Of the remainder Pomfret Lad would have a chance on his best form but he may struggle to give weight and a beating to these in form rivals so we are happy to stick with Contractor.
