Verdict
Won last year by the useful Eslob, this looks a race that will throw up plenty of winners in the future. Hold To Ransom sets a fair standard here having shown plenty of promise in two above average maidens. She wil be well suited by this step up in trip and should be too street wise for her rivals. Al Ihtithar is a half-sister to six winners and is closely related to smart stayer Samsaan. She looks the sort to make a nice middle-distance prospect next term. David Loder runs a couple of well bred juveniles and Russian Society should prove the pick of those. She is out of a mare who won four races including the Group 2 Prix de Royale and is the choice of Frankie Dettori, while stablemate Khaizarana is out of a mare that won the French 1000 Guineas. Majhub is bred in the purple being a full-sister to Group 1 winner Bahri and looks a filly to watch for the future, while stablemate Multaka is also from that family, as she is a half-sister to Bahri. Time Honoured, a full-sister to the high class Time Allowed looks the type to do better as a three-year-old, but stablemate Shell Garland could provide the main danger. She is a half-sister to the useful Housebound, who was a triple winner in the U.S. and her dam was sharp enough to win a couple of races as a juvenile.
