Soufah, Gringo and Plain Champagne are the three to consider here and preference is for Soufah to make up for a narrow defeat last time. A dual winner last season, Gringo was expected to run well at Nottingham last time and was delivering his challenge when meeting interference. He has been dropped a couple of pounds and looks set to run a big race. Plain Champagne has a Brighton success to her credit this season and proved that was no fluke when returning to the track and finishing second last time. That was over a quarter of a mile less however than her previous success and she will relish this return to her winning trip. John Dunlop's Soufah looks the one they have to beat though. He is still a maiden in five starts but was second at Leicester two outings ago and was short headed on a return to the track. He was staying on at the finish that day and will enjoy this extra two furlongs. he has been raised only a pound and has the assistance of Frankie Dettori. Soufah can lose his maiden tag.
