Ian Williams saddles three of this 10-strong field and will be disappointed if at least one of his entries isn’t involved at the business end. STARS OVER THE SEA only joined the yard in July but was beaten under a length over 2m at Ascot before finishing second over 1m6f on the July Course here. The extra yardage today shouldn’t pose too many problems and he’s preferred to Monjeni, who has been lightly campaigned this year. Coeur de Lion was favourite for this last year when runner-up to stablemate Who Dares Wins but is now 13lb higher. Fun Mac is a stout stayer but Handiwork hasn’t raced since winning at Doncaster in April, though has an excellent record when fresh. Conkering Hero, St Mary's and veteran Clever Cookie can all be given a chance of sorts in an open-looking renewal.
