Kal Barg, Perfect Treasue and Southandwest make the shortlist here, with Kal Barg taken to make amends for being a beaten favourite last time. Perfect Treasure was winning for the first time since scoring in successive races at Brighton last August, when successful back at the Sussex track recently. A six pound penalty may be enough to prevent a follow up though that was a decisive win. Southandwest was winning for the first time in two years when collecting at Newcastle last time, overcoming trouble in running. He is four pounds higher here, but had been running respectably before that, and can go well. Twice a winner as a juvenile, Kal Barg has run with promise on both starts this season, running well in a hot Newbury handicap, and then keeping on well at Haydock last time when just held in second. Kal Barg has been raised five pounds, but is progressive and unexposed and can take this.
