    Verdict

This looks tricky with several having met before. One World is Frankie’s only ride at the meeting and beat subsequent winner Forceful Speed at Newcastle last time. The former was beaten by One Nation over 7f on the July course here before that though William Buick sticks with the latter’s stablemate CASTLE WAY despite failing to land the odds at Epsom when behind third-placed Struth. Reportedly unsuited by the track on that occasion, the half-brother to Palace Pier gets another chance in this. Baltic Voyage is preferred to Eligius of the remainder.

One Nation 7-2 (9-9) Soon led, joined after 1f, headed over 4f out, led again over 2f out, ridden and headed inside final furlong, kept on, 2nd of 4, 1 3/4l behind Bold Act (9-8) at Newmarket 1m (2) gd in Sep.

Castle Way 5-6fav (9-3) Close up, pushed along halfway, ridden over 2f out, not trouble leaders(not handle track), 4th of 5, 7 1/2l behind Ndaawi (9-3) at Epsom 1m 1f stks (2) gd in Sep.

Struth (IRE) 5-1 (9-3) Led, pushed along and joined from 2f out, ridden and headed inside final furlong, no extra close home, 3rd of 5, 2l behind Ndaawi (9-3) at Epsom 1m 1f stks (2) gd in Sep.

Baltic Voyage 2-1 (9-7) Tracked leaders, switched right and unable to quicken over 2f out, ran on inside final 100 yards, 4th of 14, 1 1/2l behind Chuzzlewit (9-7) at Ayr 7f stks (4) gd in Sep.

One World 8-11fav (9-11) Took keen hold and prominent on outside, steadied to track leaders over 8f out, switched right over 3f out, led over 2f out, hanging left from over 1f out, stayed on, won at Newcastle 1m 2f stks (5) pol in Sep beating Forceful Speed (9-11) by 1l, 6 ran.
