Another Group 3 race to close the card - the sixth Group contest staged today on a quite marvellous card - and it can go to Naheef at the expense of Macadamia and Muqbil. Looking at the field. Tuning Fork looked a very good prospect when finishing runner-up in the Dante Stakes but has been disappointing since. However, if the first-time visor act as a positive trigger, then do not be surprised to see him go well. Lundy's Lane is eight pounds better off for the two-length beating he gave Al Jadeed at Kempton in August. The latter was a high-class juvenile but is struggling to recapture his best following injury. Checkit has run some solid races in defeat and, while he is officially rated just three pounds off the best of these in this contest, others are preferred by us today. Macadamia is steadily climbing the ranks, winning a Group 2 race on the July Course this year and then being far from disgraced behind Russian Rhythm at Group 1 level the time before last, and then running Echoes In Eternity to a neck in the Sun Chariot Stakes over a mile here following a ten-week break. As such, she comes here relatively fresh and expect a big run. Godolphin will have a handle on the formlines though through Naheef. Second in a German Group 2 event on soft ground last time, he had returned from a two-month break to win a Group 3 event at York the time before. The nine-furlong trip seemed to be as far as he wanted to go that day in a first-time visor so Frankie Dettori will hope to get him settled into a racing rhythm early on.
