A very open contest to finish with and the nomination goes to Venir Rouge ahead of Rowan River and Doyle's Lodge. The selection scored very easily at Newbury last time out and with Wiliam Buick able to claim 3lbs which negates some of the horses 5lb rise in he weights, another big run should be expected. At only three, there should be more to come. Doyles Lodge is consistent but the visor tried last time out is now dispensed with and he steps up in trip. Jackie Kiely is a course and distance winner so should be considered despite a poor effort when last seen. Rowan River has been threatening to win for some time but ultimately has flattered to deceive, and whilst Bay Of Light should improve for his recent reappearance run, we will return to Venir Rouge to win again.
