Swilly Sunset won his only previous start here but hasn’t raced on the Flat in more than a year having disappointed over hurdles. Three-year-olds have won six of the last nine renewals but they don’t hold a particularly strong hand this time with Haydock third Mina Vagante possibly being the best of them. Allegiant is back in the right grade after his third at Windsor but is hard to win with. Capriolette’s win at Nottingham came over a longer trip on soft ground so the vote goes to INDOMENEO. Despite a 3lb rise for winning at Haydock last month, he’s still well treated on the pick of his form and Connor Murtagh’s claim will aid his cause.
