Newbury winner Novellen Lad never saw daylight when a beaten favourite at Haydock next time and shouldn't be written off just yet. But, at the age of six, this is his first run over the minimum trip. Judge 'n Jury has been showing signs of a revival lately and is well handicapped nowadays, while Hazelrigg was second at Beverley two weeks ago but has never won off a mark this high. FATHOM FIVE was much too keen on soft ground at Ayr last time and weakened quickly inside the final furlong. He is now a pound lower than when just beaten in a blanket finish in a hugely-competitive sprint at Epsom last month, however, and could take all the beating today. Fellow C&D winner Five Star Junior and the lightly-weighted Sutton Veny may be the pick of the remainder.
