Having missed the whole of last year, TASHWEEQ was well beaten in a Group 2 contest on his return. But John Gosden’s charge showed he’d retained his ability when a close-up third in the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot last time and is taken to confirm running with Tabarrak, Withernsea, Bossy Guest, Boomshackerlacker and Von Blucher. Steady Pace also arrives on the back of a big run at Ascot when second in the Wokingham with Buckstay well beaten while Flaming Spear was in good form at the turn of the year when landing a double at Newcastle though hasn’t raced since January. Last year’s third Mutawathea was runner-up at York last time ahead of Above The Rest while the ex-Godolphin Gossiping has won four times this year for Gary Moore and may not have finished improving yet.
