In depth

Verdict

Devilwala is fitted with headgear having failed to replicate last year’s fourth in the Dewhurst Stakes in three subsequent starts. He has leading claims if doing so here while Cloudbridge was beaten only a nose in a Group 3 over 6f at Kempton back in September. Fundamental had no apparent excuse for a modest fifth in last month’s Greenham while Thank You Next and Bellissime step up in class along with BELLOSA. But the latter was impressive when winning easily over track and trip on her debut and Jane Chapple-Hyam’s filly will need to be winning at this level before taking up an entry in next month’s Coronation Stakes.
