Verdict

John Gosden has trained three of the previous seven winners and runs a couple of newcomers with jockey bookings suggesting Next Approach is preferred to Nigel. Ryan Moore rides Lingfield fourth Horseshoe Bay ahead of stablemate Petrucci while Global Force ran twice last year unlike the other Godolphin runner and debutant King Of Country. Baylay ran well over today's trip on the all-weather last month while STORM THE STARS was narrowly beaten at Nottingham by Golden Horn, engaged in the previous race, in October. We should see the best of the Sea The Stars colt now racing over middle-distances and he gets the nod. Roger Varian runs the Coolmore-owned Derby entry Joseph Jefferson and the latter is a newcomer to note.
